Total Tailings is one of a few Australian companies independently owned and operating in the specialised field of Tailing Dams.
The company with 16 years experience uses very unique methods and specialised equipment involved in all facets of residue storage facilities including the building, managing and rehabilitation.
Total Tailings undertakes various Tailings Dam projects including - new dams, extending capacity to current facilities, conversion to dry stacking, emptying residue dams and rehabilitation of Tailings disposal areas.
NEW DAMS:
Experience and equipment required for constructing new Tailings Storage Facilities, extensions to existing or construction of HDPE lined dams.
EXPANDING CAPACITY TO CURRENT FACILITIES:
Wall lifts to wet and consolidated dams, upstream lifts using Tailings from the dam or placement of suitable material from elsewhere.
CONVERSION TO DRY STACKING:
Specialised plant and equipment for the conversion of residue dams to dry stacking. Amphirols and specialised Swamp dozers able to force dry tailings, creating a dry safe work surface for the use of convential equipment to operate on.
EMPTYING DAMS:
Using similar methods for dry stacking we can remove material or harvest product from within the dams be them plastic lined or a conventional TSF.
REHABILITATION:
Safe methods to cover wet surface dams to enable earlier capping for rehabilitation, landscaping and revegetation. Erosion Protection, reshaping and drainage contour banks.
CONSULTANCY SERVICE:
